The Festival of Words Cultural Arts Collective

Allison Joseph and Patricia Smith will each conduct a two day residency in St. Landry Parish in which each 1) gives one public reading, 2) teaches a 90-minuted poetry workshop in a public school and 3) teaches a 2-hour poetry workshop in a community center; their poetry will also be celebrated through drive-by poetry in which youth perform our guest authors' poems in gift shops, grocery stores and other non-traditional venues.
