Theatre of the Performing Arts of Shreveport

For over 50 years, the Theatre of the Performing Arts of Shreveport has trained and presented talented and innovative African American actors, dancers, musicians, and vocalists to the Shreveport and Bossier communities. The mission of TPA is to foster the culture, arts and history of African Americans; to offer multi-disciplined arts programs primarily for children and youth; and to act as an advocate for the arts in Northwest Louisiana. TPA provides arts education programs that promote a positive representation of African American culture through theater, dance, music, visual arts, and African American history and literature.
