New Orleans band, Sweet Magnolia, has been pushing the genre boundaries of original music in New Orleans for a few years now with their sassy and vibrant combination of soul-pop and New Orleans brass. Their songs are a rare combination of female storytelling in the brass medium.
In the last year, they’ve become known for their infectiously fun songs and building a warm connection with their audiences through crowd participation. Their first full-length album, Miss Missed Connection, was well received and catapulted them to win a South Arts Jazz Roads Award in 2024 which allowed them to tour. Since then they have opened for legendary bands such as Galactic, Honey Island Swamp Band, and Grammy-winning Rebirth Brass Band. A second album is in the works and they can hardly wait to party with audiences again on tour! "
