Trombonist Roland Barber has performed with an impressively diverse and world class list of musicians, including Aretha Franklin, Lauren Daigle, Keb’ Mo, La India, Manny Oquendo y Libre, Chaka Khan, the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Delfeayo Marsalis and the Uptown Jazz Orchestra, Wynton Marsalis and the JLCO, the Duke Ellington Orchestra, and the NBC Saturday Night Live Band. Roland has performed in venues including Carnegie Hall, Birdland, the Blue Note, Lincoln Center, the Copacabana, and Madison Square Garden. Roland is active as a composer, arranger, educator and performer and currently leads his own small group jazz unit, the Roland Barber Quintet, as well as a formidable, authentic NOLA-style brass band, the Righteous Few Brass Band.
Availability: Generally available; wide open through mid-August. Thereafter, available for weekend travel, one-offs, and regional appearances.
