Host of the roots music history podcast American Songcatcher, Nicholas Edward Williams is a multi-instrumentalist and storyteller who has opened for Taj Mahal, The Wood Brothers, CAAMP, The Wailers, Dom Flemons, Town Mountain, Ballroom Thieves, John Paul White, John Craigie among many others. Williams is dedicated to "playing it forward" by preserving the songs, stories, artists and styles that have shaped our country: Ragtime, Piedmont Blues, Early Country, Traditional Folk and Old-Time. Nicholas is also the Executive Director of the instrument relief nonprofit ReString Appalachia, which gets musical instruments back to victims of natural disasters.
