Felicia Greenlee is a fine artist whose work explores material, pattern, and form through wood collage, a term she uses to describe her work. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she relocated to her family’s hometown in upstate South Carolina at age eight, an experience that significantly shaped her worldview and artistic perspective. Although Greenlee never saw artists that looked like her, she sustained a strong commitment to art throughout her early education and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Clemson University in 1993.
After graduating, she worked in the textile industry as a designer before transitioning to freelance work following the birth of her son. During this period, she developed a home décor line based on her artwork, leading to multiple licensing opportunities that provided both professional visibility and the time to further develop her wood collage practice.
Greenlee currently focuses on her studio work while serving part-time as a museum assistant. Her work has been featured in Impact magazine (2022) and American Craft (Fall 2025). She was named a 2025 South Carolina Fellow for Visual Arts through South Arts and resides in upstate South Carolina with her husband. "
