I am a third-generation piñata maker from Rio Verde, San Luis Potosí, Mexico. I was taught the art of piñata making by my precious mother, Elena. She was taught by her late father, Don Meli Rico. I make piñatas to keep and honor my family’s tradition and to spread joy and creativity to others. I began assisting my mom with piñata making at the ages of 3-4. For as long as I can remember, my parents have supported my creativity no matter what that looked like.
Artist Fee: $5,000 - $8,000
Availability: Available November 2026 through June 2027. I will be on maternity leave until mid-November, following an early August due date.
